Eastview is mostly a residential neighbourhood with the majority of homes built between 1961 and 1970. Eastview neighbourhood had a unique naming convention that gave all of its streets a name including the word “East” in them due to the original construction of the community that gave all homes a stunning east view as there was no construction beyond the eastern border of the neighbourhood. There is a small shopping centre in the neighbourhood and quick access to Stonebridge shopping centre.

Additionally, a separate Catholic elementary school named Pope John Paul II School (part of the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division) is located in the Eastview neighbourhood.

Three city parks can be found throughout the Eastview neighbourhood: A.S. Wright Park, James Anderson Park, and Kistakin Park.
