Caswell Hill Saskatoon

Caswell Hill is a quaint neighbourhood with a blend of winding streets and grid style layout. There are large trees lining every street and most of the homes are character homes with construction that began in 1905. A large park is nestled in the centre of the neighbourhood that hosts many community events, notably Art in the Park which celebrates local artists and makers. The park is a busy hub in the summer as hot weather inspires residents to have fun at the local Mayfair Pool nearby.

There are three schools in Caswell Hill.  Caswell School is a public elementary school belonging to the Saskatoon Public School Division.  Constructed in 1910 and named for Robert W. Caswell who had farmed at this location.  Bedford Road Collegiate is a public secondary school belonging to the Saskatoon Public School Division.

Additionally, a separate Catholic secondary school named E.D. Feehan School (part of the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division) is located in the Caswell Hill neighbourhood.

Parks and Recreation

One city park can be found in the Caswell Hill neighbourhood.  Ashworth-Holmes Park named after J.H. Holmes and John Ashworth who had purchased the majority of the land now named Caswell Hill.  Of their land purchases, 10 acres was donated to the city which became the park area.

Mayfair Swimming Pool is located within Caswell Hill.  This is an outdoor swimming pool with a mini-waterslide that serves the residents of Caswell Hill during summer months.

There is limited commercial development in Caswell Hill, with two economic areas, the downtown core, and the stores lining 33rd Street West.
