Adelaide Churchill is an established neighbourhood of homes built between the 1950s and 1970s. The community has wonderful crescents full of curving streets as well as grid line streets. Large trees line the streets with bungalow-style homes and many homes have large backyards perfect for families. The mostly residential community of Adelaide Park/Churchill has two schools, a few large parks and a small shopping centre including a grocery store.

There are two schools in Adelaide Churchill.  Hugh Cairns V.C. School is a public elementary school belonging to the Saskatoon Public School Division.  Constructed in 1959, the first students were enrolled in 1960. This school is located on Cairns Avenue, though the school and street are not named for the same person.

Additionally, a separate Catholic elementary school named St. Philip School (part of the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division) is located in the Adelaide/Churchill neighbourhood.

Parks and Recreation

Three city parks can be found throughout the Adelaide/Churchill neighbourhood.  Meadowlark Park can be found off Calder Crescent, Adelaide Park is adjacent to Hugh Cairns V.C. School on Cairns Avenue, and Churchill Park - the largest of the parks - is located off Wilson Crescent and Haultain Avenue. The Adelaide Churchill Community Association hosts a variety of activities and programs year-round for the residents of his neighbourhood.
