King George Saskatoon

King George neighbourhood was originally named Riverview, later renamed to match the name of the elementary school named to honour King George V. This neighbourhood is an inner-city community considered to be a lower-income neighbourhood. The majority of homes were built between 1940 and 1960. The community association is committed to providing cultural and social programming for its residents.

Two city parks can be found throughout the King George neighbourhood.  Victoria Park borders the river front where the Water Treatment Plant is situated. St. Andrews Park is located between Avenue M South and Avenue N South between 13th Street and 15th Street.

The nearest public library serving King George is the Dr. Freda Ahenakew Branch (previously Library on 20th Street) of the Saskatoon Public Library.
